Everyone has emotional challenges and we tend to have some go-to coping mechanism for when life stressors and problems arise. Some of those strategies are helpful and work for us in coping with and navigating through those stressful life events, but you may be finding those strategies are no longer helping. You may need help and guidance to find your own innate wisdom and capacity for growth and healing through life’s difficulties.
My work as a therapeutic counsellor takes into consideration who you are as a complete person—mind, body and spirit to honour all aspects of your identity. So in a therapy session, we may for example discuss your physical health, sleep habits, how you handle stress, hobbies, values, and spirituality. Together we will consider what’s working for you and what changes you need to make.
